WILD & AWAY NAMIBIA

14th - 22nd March 2020

Enso only.jpg

WILD, UNSPOILED & AWAY

In a country like Namibia jam-packed with vast, spectacularly beautiful landscapes, Kaokoland and the Skeleton coast may just be some of the most incredible of them all.

Deep in north-western Namibia, these wild areas are a melee of towering mountains, sand dunes, and huge expanses of desert, scattered with unique wildlife and the Atlantic Ocean as a silent witness. They are also some of Namibia’s most remote and wild environments, that not many people will get the chance to discover and photograph in a lifetime.

This is not just another photo-trip to Namibia. In fact, we think this is the first and only photo-trip organised in these areas. Expect the trip of a lifetime, exploring areas where we will be totally alone, face to face with some of the most incredible landscapes and desert wildlife Africa has to offer. During the trip, we will visit and photograph both the Hoanib river and the Skeleton coast, staying at two brand new luxurious lodges isolated in the Namibian wilderness.

This will be a totally exclusive ‘fly in’ safari, where we will have plenty of time to explore, experience and photograph some of the very most photogenic, authentic, wild and incredible places of Africa. This is the perfect trip for those who want to explore Namibia for the first time getting to the most authentic and unspoilt places, or those who have only visited the more touristic places before.

This is the first and only ever photo-tour organised in the most remote and wild areas of the whole Namibia. We will take you where very few have been.

LEADERS OF THE TRIP

RAFAEL ROJAS

Rafael Rojas (Master Hasselblad 2014, MA Photography, ARPS) is a Swiss-Spanish fine art photographer, author and lecturer whose work frequently focuses on concepts like time, decay and renewal, the raw latent energy found in the landscape and the ephemeral qualities of existence. He strives to encapsulate concept, emotion and spirituality in his work.

Rafael has been involved in teaching since he was in his teens, and well before he took a camera for the first time. First helping out young students, then teaching undergrads and later on as a University lecturer. Nowadays, as a full time professional photographer, lecturer, author and creativity mentor, he deeply enjoys helping other photographers grow as artists, slow down and look at the world with different eyes.

He is the founder of the online MasterCOURSE "Photography with Intent", a unique, comprehensive and structured one year course devoted to the whole photographic process from message to print.

Rafael is also co-owner and co-director of “Platinum Press Editions”, an independent finer art photography publishing company devoted to the creation of photography books of the highest quality.

Rafael speaks English, French, Spanish, Romanian and Italian.

ANCA MINICAN

Her broad experience in the corporate world, her professionalism and her methodical and serious approach make her a valuable asset for the organization, on-site logistics and the support to customers during our workshops and photographic trips. She also plays a key role in the team building and knows how to create an amicable environment with a personal touch as all our clients can testify!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
